Hot Mama Pit Bull Terrier Adult Female for sale in Saint Louis, Missouri

Hot Mama's story
To all the mothers out there, you may relate to Hot Mama's story. She was rescued on one of the hottest days of 2017 with her three puppies. Living in an abandoned house at the time of rescue, she managed to survive and keep her pups safe by stowing them in a crawl space. A live stream of the dramatic rescue ran on GPG's Facebook page to help raise awareness about what we do. Hot Mama was a star.
As is the case with so many moms with litters, her pups were adopted quickly because everybody loves puppies, especially fat, squishy babies like Hot Mama's. But the moms are often overlooked and patiently wait for someone to notice them.
Hot Mama has waited for nearly a year now, and for much of that time, she has lived at the shelter. So she sat at the shelter with her head pressed up against the kennel bars, waiting. She's only believed to be around 2 years old, so she's spent half of her life waiting for her forever home. When she has been in a foster home, she's been amazing. She's crate trained, house broken, playful, respectful and well behaved. Her favorite treat is ice cream, who can blame her?
Hotsie, as she's called by shelter staff, has doggy playmates, goes on slumber parties, and of course has many volunteers who adore her. What she doesn't have yet is a forever home. Like so many moms out there, this mama patiently waits, ready for someone to appreciate her for herself and help her shine again.

Gateway Pet Guardians is proud to offer a variety of mixed breed dogs available for adoption. However, please keep in mind that we rarely know the genetic background of the animals we rescue and, as such, we cannot guarantee the exact breed combinations found within this dog. Further, because 'pit bull terrier type dog' is not a breed we can list and because this dog has a blocky head and other characteristics that make the public perceive him/her as a pit bull, we are listing him/her as a pit bull mix. However, we do not know his/her actual genetic makeup. Just know that this dog is probably a variety of several different breeds that have combined to create one very amazing and unique animal.
